Project Details

As the visual designer and front-end developer for Cornell University’s Research & Innovation website, I translated existing UX research into a polished, on-brand interface built directly in WordPress. Rather than relying on static design files, I did most of the design work in-browser, allowing layout and typography decisions to be shaped by how they would actually function.

The design adheres to Cornell’s brand guidelines while meeting accessibility standards, with attention to color contrast, semantic markup, and keyboard navigation built in from the start rather than added later.

I incorporated feedback into a final version, refining page hierarchy and content presentation to better match their goals, budget and deadline. The result is an accessible, on-brand WordPress site shaped by a hands-on, in-browser design process.
