Faculty Development & Development
Project Details
The Office of Faculty Development & Diversity (OFDD) supports Cornell faculty throughout their careers, offering resources in areas like research and scholarship, tenure and promotion, mentorship, and academic leadership, alongside tools for department chairs focused on recruitment, retention, and climate. As designer and front-end developer, I built a WordPress site that organizes this range of programming into clear, audience-specific paths, distinguishing content aimed at individual faculty from resources meant for department leadership.
The homepage surfaces the office’s core content areas, faculty development, department resources, grants and awards, and partnerships, as direct entry points, paired with a running list of upcoming events and workshops. Given the sensitivity of some of the office’s work, including reporting incidents or bias concerns, I made sure key actions like these were easy to locate without requiring visitors to dig through menus.
The result is a clean, approachable site that reflects OFDD’s role as a resource hub, helping faculty and administrators quickly find the programming, funding, or support relevant to them.
